A Review of Chubby Trout from Elkhart Indiana, RV Capital of the World! This is the first time visiting Chubby Trout's new location. The building is awesome, super cool, barn wood everywhere with an amazing little patio area. We were there a little before dinner so the place was pretty well empty. Having been to their old location, we knew we were going to enjoy some sushi! We were seated quickly, and had good service. Their beer list is full of flavorful IPAs, some local and some from across the country. They offer Gumballhead, one of my favorites! We ordered a Las Vegas Roll and a Spicy Salmon roll, see below. The Las Vegas roll was spot on! The combination of avacado and salmon and the creaminess of the cream cheese is awesome! The fried tempura adds a firmness that holds everything together. The unary sauce and spicy mayo complete this roll with the right amount of spice!
The Spicy Salmon roll was also very good. The "trio of spicy sauces" found on their menu was a little heavy on the horseradish for me... outside of that, this was one of the better spicy salmon rolls in town. When you're in Elkhart, visiting or working in the RV industry, stop in for a great roll and a local craft beer, you won't be sorry! Comments are closed.
