Day 3
Our last day in San Francisco was a great one. We started the day off by traveling to Napa Valley and trying some Napa Valley wineries! The highlight of the trip was our experience at Bell Wine Cellars. This was recommended to us by a friend and we were given a contact name. We were blessed by a tour and tasting, which is usually only available by appointment only. Our contact just so happened to be a Notre Dame fan, so when met him, he rolled the red carpet out. We had a great tasting! The Bell Clone 6 was AMAZING!
After the tasting, and of course, buying a couple bottles, we were given access to a bocce ball court! A couple bottles of wine under the Napa Valley sun led to a fantastic time and the perfect Napa Valley experience!
After a full day of Napa Valley and wine tasting, we enjoyed the drive back to San Francisco. As we drove back, we were able to witness the famous San Francisco fog rolling into the Bay Area. I've never been part of a weather event like this, and it was amazing! We drove up onto the Marin Headlands and the Fort Baker site, over looking the Golden Gate and San Francisco.
We finished our trip with an amazing sunset driving back from Napa Valley. San Francisco is a dynamic and beautiful city. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there, especially being shown around by some "locals". It was an amazing trip!
