The ups and downs have been hot and heavy for my wife Mo's new Senegence Lipsense business, Indiana Lip Moxie by Mo. The first month or month and a half have been great for her sales. She has been cranking orders out and re-ordering like crazy! She has also had a few friends and family that have shown interest in, and even become a downline distributor for Mo. This brings me to the title of this post.
I've been trying to be supportive to her because a couple times a day, there's some sort of support she needs to provide to one of her downlines. At this point, she has 4. She had two early on, and then two more just recently. There are also two more that are "kicking the tires". Recently, she has been dealing with some "downline nervousness". This has come from either slower than expected revenue or just being nervous to jump into a new business.
Mo has been doing a good job, and trying her hardest to support her downlines. I think often, it's too easy to think that the money is just going to flow in. The amount of hours that Mo puts in is impressive! It takes time, it takes energy, and it takes networking. At times, people think that the sales are just going to come to you, but you have to go for the sales. The amount of demos, parties and social media events are growing exponentially. It takes work to build a customer base, and that takes time.
The Lipsense multi-level marketing truly is where the teamwork comes in. Mo has worked her tail off by supporting her downlines. Giving them ideas, giving them products to giveaway, giving them technical and social media support, etc. Of course, this is all outside of her trying to build her customer base and product line.
Husbands, be supportive. There are going to be ups and downs. There are going to be downline growth, and eventually, there will be downline decay. That's okay! (that rhymes) Some people are going to kill it, but some people will struggle with growing their client networks. Not everyone is able to sell in this format. So, be there for your significant other, she will need your support in order to support her downlines!
I'd love to hear any feedback. What do you think? Have you looked elsewhere on the blog? What did you like? I'd love to hear from you, leave your comments!
